  • Contact form submissions— your name, email address, company name, and message when you reach out through our contact page.
  • Newsletter subscriptions— your email address when you subscribe to receive our insights.

We also collect information automatically when you visit our site:

  • Analytics data— we use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate website usage, including page views, visitor counts, referral sources, and performance metrics. This data is collected in aggregate and does not personally identify you.
  • Visitor activity— if you arrive at our site through a link in one of our emails, we may use a cookie to associate your visit with your prior interaction. With your consent, we track pages visited, time spent on each page, and scroll depth to help us understand which content is most relevant.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies on this site. When you first visit, we ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies.

  • pgol_consent— stores your cookie preference (accepted or declined). Expires after 1 year.
  • pgol_ref— set only if you arrive through a link in one of our emails. Associates your visit with the email campaign so we can understand which content resonated. Expires after 90 days. Only set if you accept cookies.

If you decline cookies, we will not set the visitor tracking cookie and no personally identifiable browsing data will be collected. You can change your cookie preference at any time by clicking “Cookie Preferences” in the footer of any page, or by clearing cookies through your browser settings.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Data Storage and Cross-Border Transfers

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform that provides encryption at rest and in transit. Our database is hosted on infrastructure managed by Supabase with industry-standard security practices. Only authorized members of our team have access to submitted data.

Your personal data is processed and stored in the United States through our service providers, including Supabase, Vercel, and Google. As a result, your data may be subject to the laws of the United States, including laws that may permit government authorities to access your data under certain circumstances.

We have contractual agreements, including Data Processing Agreements, in place with our service providers to ensure appropriate safeguards for your data.

Third-Party Services

Our website uses the following third-party services:

  • Supabase— for secure storage of contact form submissions and subscriber email addresses. Based in the United States.
  • Google Fonts— for loading typefaces used on this site. When your browser requests fonts from Google's CDN, Google may collect standard connection data (such as your IP address). Based in the United States. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
  • Vercel— for website hosting, delivery, analytics, and performance monitoring. Vercel Analytics collects aggregate page view and visitor data. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct any inaccurate information.
  • Delete your personal data from our systems.
  • Withdraw consentfor cookie tracking at any time by clicking “Cookie Preferences” in the footer of any page, or by clearing cookies through your browser settings.

Data Retention

We retain your data for the following periods:

  • Contact form submissions— retained for 24 months from the date of submission, then deleted.
  • Newsletter subscriptions— retained until you unsubscribe, plus 30 days for processing.
  • Tracking cookies (pgol_ref)— expire automatically after 90 days.
  • Consent records (pgol_consent)— retained for up to 3 years to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. We will process your request and confirm once completed.

Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)

We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. Newsletter emails are only sent with your express consent, provided when you subscribe through our website. Our emails include published insights, perspectives on software strategy and operational excellence, and occasional company updates.

Every email we send includes a clear, cost-free unsubscribe mechanism. Unsubscribe requests are processed within 10 business days. We retain consent records for 3 years after the end of the subscription to demonstrate compliance.

Complaints
